How to Use an M3U URL
Once you have an M3U URL from your IPTV M3U Lista subscription, adding it to a player app takes just a couple of minutes. Here's how it works across the most common apps.
Before You Start
Have your M3U URL ready, copied exactly as provided — a single missing character will cause the playlist to fail. If your subscription also includes Xtream Codes login details, keep those handy too, since some apps prefer that format.
VLC (Windows, macOS, Linux)
- Open VLC and go to Media → Open Network Stream.
- Paste your M3U URL into the network URL field.
- Click Play. VLC will load the playlist and begin with the first entry.

TiviMate and GSE Smart IPTV (Android / Android TV)
- Open the app and choose to add a new playlist.
- Select "M3U URL" (rather than a local file).
- Paste the URL, name the playlist if prompted, and confirm.
- The app downloads the playlist and builds your channel list automatically.
Kodi (via an IPTV PVR Add-on)
- Install an IPTV-focused PVR add-on from Kodi's add-on repository.
- Open the add-on's settings and locate the M3U URL field.
- Paste your URL and save. Kodi will refresh its live TV section using the playlist.
Smart IPTV (Samsung / LG)
Smart IPTV works slightly differently: you register your TV's MAC address on the Smart IPTV website, then set your M3U URL from that same web account rather than directly on the TV. Once linked, the app pulls the playlist automatically.
If a Playlist Doesn't Load
Double-check the URL for typos, confirm your internet connection is active, and try refreshing the playlist within the app. Our troubleshooting guide covers more specific fixes.
