How to Use M3U Playlists on Android TV

Android TV and Google TV devices have strong support for M3U-based IPTV through the Play Store's app ecosystem. Here's how to get set up.

Step 1: Install a Compatible Player

Open the Play Store on your Android TV or Google TV device and search for an IPTV player app that supports M3U playlists — TiviMate and GSE Smart IPTV are two of the most widely used options for this platform. Install your preferred app.

Step 2: Add Your Playlist

Open the app and look for an option like "Add Playlist" or "Setup." Choose the M3U URL method (rather than a local file), then enter your IPTV M3U Lista playlist URL using your remote or a connected keyboard.

Step 3: Let the App Load Your Channels

After saving, the app will fetch the playlist and build your channel list, often grouped into categories if your playlist includes group metadata. This usually takes just a few seconds on a stable connection.
